2014 Chicago Area Housing Market Conditions Report

The Housing Market Conditions Report is released in conjunction with the annual update of the IHS Housing Market Indicators Data Portal. The objective of this report is to help users of the IHS Housing Market Indicators Data Portal understand how to interpret IHS market conditions indicators such as levels of foreclosure distress, the characteristics of property sales, or levels of mortgage credit and how they vary across the region in the most recent data.
 

Dreaming of Home

The American dream has been the driving force for citizens for decades. In 1931 James Truslow Adams defined it best in The Epic of America: it’s the dream of a land in which life should be better for everyone, regardless of their societal status or circumstances presented at birth.  Spanish Coalition for Housing (SCH) client, Sal Johnson, has led his life with that dream in mind, but the journey has not been without its challenges; however, threats of defeat have not dissuaded Mr. Johnson from moving forward.

In two three hour sessions, our experts will cover everything you need to know: the homebuying process, downpayment assistance programs, credit and money management, and tips on how to purchase an REO and Short Sale. At the end of the course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion which is useful when applying for down payment assistance.
